iPhone news

I thought I would lump the iPhone news this time, rather than spreading it out across ten different entries, as it worked out pretty well last time.

- Canada is finally getting the iPhone. A spokesperson for Rogers Wireless confirmed this earlier today. To our neighbors in the North…I hope they don’t just send all of the old iPhones up there when the 3G is released.

- Which of course brings me to the next blurb, Foxconn of China has brokered a deal to produce the next generation of the iPhone that will more than likely hit US shores in June. Right around the WWDC and the release of the iPhone 2.0 software…and iPhone applications. Oh, just think of all the iPhone entries there will be then.

- And finally, TUAW has claimed that in the code of the latest iPhone beta software they have found mentions of a bit of software called ‘iControl’. They have determined that it is for using your iPhone to control your iTunes library. Craziness.
