A cluster of iPhone news
Here’s a bit of iPhone/Touch news for you, all neatly wrapped in the same package.
- VoIP fun
- 2.0 with Safari download goodness
- Newer VoIP fun
So first up is the VoIP fun topic. It’s been known for a while that with a microphone you can use a Touch to make VoIP calls. No? You didn’t know?
Well, just head over here and learn about it. Try to annoy the kid, though. He’s kind of annoying and sniffs a lot. But hey, you get to see iPod Touch VoIP-IP in action.
Next up is a new feature in the iPhone 2.0 software-verse. Apple released a new beta that allows users to hold their finger down on a picture to bring up a contextual menu that allows you to save said picture.
And lastly, there is Fring. This harkens back to the VoIP stuff mentioned earlier. It allows you to use VoIP on your Touch/iPhone. But of course, as with anything not confined within the usual twelve buttons, it’s for jailbreakers only.
